A Quick Patreon PSA

Welp, they’ve done it again. Patreon decided to make last-minute changes right before August’s billing cycle, which means we lost nearly 25% of our Patreon income overnight! As y’all know, we rely on this money to pay for web hosting, commission artwork, pay for equipment, and all sorts of odds and ends. It’s no exaggeration to say that Patreon keeps the site alive: without it, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. Which is why we need your help:

-If you currently subscribe to our Patreon, please double-check your account to ensure your payment went through. It’s very possible that because of Patreon’s last-minute billing changes, the payment errored out. If you’re still receiving new updates in your inbox, you’re probably fine, but y’know. Doesn’t hurt to check. And consider sharing us with your friends: with Twitter’s implosion, it’s harder than ever to get the word out about our site.

-If you aren’t a subscriber, please consider checking out our Patreon! For just $1 a month, you’ll get access to hundreds of podcast episodes from our back catalogue, with more released multiple times a week. And at higher tiers, we have even more shows and bonuses! You can have a say in what we watch, what we play on stream, etc.

With any luck, Patreon will sort their shit out quickly, and things will recover. And as-is, this shouldn’t impact any of the podcasts or articles we do! Regardless, seeing a drop that significant at the start of the month is pretty sobering. And we just want to reiterate that we’re incredibly thankful for all our supporters.

Anyway, that’s it from me. I’m going to watch some baseball and try not to think about the numbers for a bit.
