Irritation flitted across Khaeris Nyugen’s mind, and Terrible Knowledge let out a sigh. For a moment there, it seemed like things were going to get interesting… then the Meridian simply shot down that smuggler ship, and chased off her drone. Taking control of Rosanct would be a simple thing, but there was no one in position to hold it. That woman from the Wardens was on the way, but she was useless, she wouldn’t be able to defend it. And it was a waste of the Magister’s time to stay.
Still. There was something about the smuggler ship… Khaeris put it out of her mind. Not all mysteries needed solving. Right now, she had bigger fish to fry: namedly, the Anti-Entropist ship that was hiding on the other side of the planet.
