Cao Cao. Xuande. Yuan Shao. And quietly in the south, biding his time, Sun Ce. Four major players remain in this battle for China, with names like Dong Zhuo, Lu Bu, and Yuan Shu in the rear view mirror. And yet peace feels no closer. Indeed, as our ?hero? Xuande suffers major setbacks, perhaps it’s further away by the end of these chapters than at the start of it. The three/four brothers are truly scattered to the wind, and Cao Cao’s power seems absolute. God, you have to feel bad for the Emperor, even if you don’t like that position on principle.
